I definately believe Mozilla Firefox is the best...by far. Certainly OVER Microsoft Eplorer. :-)

Firefox. Best proxy manager so you don't leave so many footprints.

Plus Bill Gates can't read your hard drive as easily.

I use Opera when at home. I'm forced to use IE at work.

the government and haxxors are already working hard at getting to firefox. They consider Opera having too small a userbase to worry about. Which is fine by me.

Avant which is basically a reworked netscape is another one "they" aren't working at compromising yet.

I did like Avant, but when I had to reload Windows I had to get rid of it, every time I turned on my machine it would lock up. so I switched to Slim, I went to Avants forum and they couldn't figure it out either.
I got tired of fuckin around with it and since I thought Mo and OPera where lacking I went with what I knew.

But the browser is not enough for safety. I use a proxy of business when on the web. Stay with one long enough for them to think they know who/where I am and then switch again. The proxies from the orient are the easiest to use but for that same fact they are the most obvious.

I typically have used IE my entire internet life. If you play with the settings you can tighten your securtiy significantly. That and have a good AV and Anti-spyware program.

I guess in the end as Firefox gathers more users the little shits (and the big ones) will hack into that.

Sighhhhhh...

I guess the ONLY answer is thumbprints and "tight security" regs to keep all these dastardly terrorists and 12 year old hackers out of our hair. :-)

Firefox, I hate Opera, have played with IE settings but it's inherent issues remain.

12 year old hackers aren't all that bad. I used to be a 12 year old programmer - and i thought I was cool. How wrong I was.
