LONDON (AFP) - Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife Heather Mills are not close in terms of negotiations for a settlement in their messy divorce, The Times reported on Thursday.

McCartney, 65, and 39-year-old former model Heather Mills are currently locked in a High Court divorce battle which is also being played out across the pages of Britain's newspapers.
McCartney and Mills are both using the same divorce lawyers used by Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, Fiona Shackleton and Anthony Julius.
"It could well go to trial because they are both quite stubborn," an unidentified lawyer was quoted as saying by The Times.
The paper said, without citing its sources, that McCartney had offered 20 million pounds (29.7 million euros, 41 million dollars) to Mills as a settlement, with Mills replying that she will accept a sum of 50 million pounds.
The couple have a three-year-old daughter, Beatrice.

Come on, Heather, 41 million dollars isn't more than enough?
Hey, McCartney has 41 million dollars to settle with his ex-wife with plenty left over?
Why wasn't he on the Forbes list?
Or, was he? Don't remember seeing him there. Seems like enough money to at least get you a spot.
When a fan says that they are bursting with pride to be a fan of such great musicians; that all their worries are gone when paging through the issue of a particular magazine and all negativity dispersed.
Well, you gotta wonder what "magic carpet" ride they're on!
WOW!! Talk about psychological operations coming out of the music industry in the 60's, some of these fans display the outcome of the tricks of the trade targeted at them during the cultural revolution.
Whisked away into the musician's world.
No longer a part of society.
So, we now understand why music plays such an important role for those who "program" our youth.

The night is falling
Under the vesper bells lonely chime
And I ain't nobody's valentine
But I ain't sorry for wanting the things
That you cannot give
And if you want me to walk away
Give me something I can walk away with
Talk to me like the rain baby
Talk to me like the rain
And I will lie here and listen
All of those promises
They're held like tender dreams
Inside our hands and they're all
Just waiting there for our command
Now I don't want to talk to no one darlin'
I don't want the sun to shine
I'll just lie inside this darkness baby
Until you are mine
Talk to me like the rain baby
Talk to me like the rain
And I will lie here and listen
Yesterdays empires they are all vanishing
And without you those new worlds darlin'
They don't mean a thing
Talk to me like the rain baby
Talk to me like the rain
Talk to me like the rain darlin'
Talk to me like the rain
And I will lie here and listen

I would assume Scailfa's talking to Springsteen, her husband.
If not, who then does this song address?
She's married to him, right? So, why then the verse:
"I'll just lie inside this darkness baby
Until you are mine"

From the first time that I saw you
I wanted nothing but to make you mine
Now there's this girl with milk white hands
And on her finger your wedding band shines
Still you tempt me with your kisses
Still you tempt me with your charm
Ain't gonna struggle no more with this
Tonight I'm gonna lie down in your arms
And all my fear and all my sorrow
It will disappear
I'll do the right thing come tomorrow
But tonight I'm gonna stay right here
I'm gonna stay right here
Now me I'm just a lonely girl
And I know baby you're a lonely man
And I may never mean more to you
Than a sin that lied waiting in your hands
Still I tempt you with my kisses
Still I tempt you with my charm
Ain't gonna ask but one thing of you
Forgive me darling and I'll forgive you - well
All my fear and all my sorrow
It will disappear
I'll do the right thing come tomorrow
But tonight I'm gonna stay right here
I'm gonna stay right here
Come tomorrow don't you worry baby
Ain't gonna turn the blame on you
Come tomorrow ain't nobody gonna
Make me walk in shame - for loving you
I ain't got no diamonds on my fingers
Ain't got no gold baby in my hands
I know this world don't owe me nothing
So tonight I'm going to take baby what I can
All my fear and all my sorrow
It will disappear
I'll do the right thing come tomorrow
But tonight I'm gonna stay right here
I'm gonna stay right here

She's married to Springsteen, right?
But, on another woman's milk white hand his wedding band shines.
They say there's a light
Through darkness shines
If two hands protect that light
Against the change of time
You can have your gold and silver
Build your kingdoms high
But it's just once of those things baby
That money can't buy
So I don't care where we go baby
I don't care what we do
As long as I can be with you
Now I've been lost
And I've been found
Been lifted up to the gates of heaven
And put back down
I've walked in chains baby
And I've walked free
But I never walk the way that I do
When you walk with me
So I don't care where we go baby
I don't care what we do
As long as I can be with you
Well maybe I'm just a foolish girl
'Cause I always thought the right kiss
Could wash away some sins of the world
Wash away those sins baby and go walkin' free
'Cause that's just how I feel darlin'
When you walk with me
So I don't care where we go baby
I don't care what we do
As long as I can be with you
As long as I can be with you
----------------------------------------------
Oh, boy, she's walked in chains and she's walked free.
She thought the right kiss could wash away some sins of the world. Wash away those sins baby and go walkin' free.

You promised me there'd be no denials
When I was weak under your spell
When I feel thirsty you would not let me
Take water from your well
Well big black road
Big black river
Big black heaven in the sky above
I need someone I can talk to
I need someone I can love
So I went down to that valley
To a boy that I once knew
And he looked at me so tender
Oh baby like you used to do
Well big black road
Big black river
Big black heaven in the sky above
I need someone I can talk to
I need someone I can love
So I crossed that river of temptation
And I lay down in that young boys arms
And there I claimed my destination
Through this one last unforgiving harm
Well big black road
Big black river
Big black heaven in the sky above
I need someone I can talk to
I need someone I can love

She was weak under his SPELL.
Springsteen's spell?
She was thirsty but he would not let her take the water from his well.
She needed someone she could love.
I thought she was married to Springsteen?
She went down to that VALLEY to a BOY she once knew. A BOY! Not a man.
She crossed the river of temptation and lay down in that young boy's arms.
She claimed her destination through this one last unforgiving HARM.
Verses from Patti Scailfa's
Rumble Doll
Big Black Heaven
So I went down to that valley
To a boy that I once knew
And he looked at me so tender
Oh baby like you used to do
I need someone I can talk to
I need someone I can love
So I crossed that river of temptation
And I lay down in that young boys arms
And there I claimed my destination
Through this one last unforgiving harm
I need someone I can talk to
I need someone

Patti lay down in that YOUNG BOY's ARMS and there she claimed her destination through this one last unforgiving harm!!!
