Sorry, but Springsteen isn't clean.

Drugs, alcohol or otherwise.

He isn't a saint.

It's just been hidden like every other negative aspect about the man.

His fanatics want to believe that he's not addicted to anything.

Drugs or alcohol.

They want to believe he just experimented in the 60's and that's all.

Give me a break.

Look at the guy.

Sorry, but he's not squeaky clean, as you'd like to believe.

In one of his recent songs:

COUNTIN' WHITE LINES AND GETTING STONED.

It's reported that Springsteen didn't have his first drink until he was 24.

Give me a break!

What was it he said during the introduction of a song many years ago?

I never experimented with hallucinogenics.

You guys are a bunch of fools.

Like I said, "pathological liar."

First off, when you're a Project Monarch baby and incarcerated in a "satanic cult," you are forced to take hallucinogenics, especially to bring out the "creative juices" (i.e, Beatles and every other Rock 'n' Roll band you can name).

They get you addicted to drugs and become your supplier.

Whether prescription or not.

From a poster at BTX:

How can you explain the fact that Springsteen needs to look at his teleprompter every 5 seconds when he sings Born to Run? He doesn't know the lyrics to a song he's sung a thousand times, he has no concept of time (he introduced County Fair as being written 10 years ago), he uses incorrect song titles when he writes his setlists, he blanks out for long periods of time during interviews ("Uh".........30 seconds later......."UH"...), and c'mon, have you guys watched the Blood Brothers documentary? The guy's a zombie.

Dude has probably been using some powerful prescription Meds since his late 80's/early 90's pyscho ward sessions (He's admitted to therapy- you don't think pills were suggested?). Springsteen's cognitive capabilities seem to have been severly handicapped over the last twenty years, so if it's true that he has stayed off the hard stuff, then the only logical explanation for his condition would be prescription meds.

Bruce is the bomb and all that, but this clean rep he has is ludicrous. I hate to break it to you guys, but Anti-Depressant prescriptions are a greater danger than cannabis use. Just look at Bruce.

Very creepy.

Poster Marsha at BTX Promised Land is posting pictures of kids holding signs with the names of Springsteen songs such as, RAMROD, Man's Job, Bobby Jean.

One young boy, toddler, is holding a sign that says, I have a Big Muddy in my pants but I'm in the pit.

Another is of a group of children and the sign reads:'

"Clarence's Kids."

Don't know what that's about.

As Pamela Springsteen says over at the BTX Political World, she recently saw a Fogerty Show and if anyone has a chance they should just DO IT!

DO what?

They've just crowned Springsteen the King over at BTX Political World.

They're a little concerned that Elvis might come back and challenge the title.

King of what?

Pornography?

Sorry, but Springsteen's snaggletooth and snot rockets aren't sexy no matter which way you slice or dice them, to say the least and mention the few.

Sorry, MovieLady, but "nuff said" is really old. Broaden your horizons, why don't you?

Why would anyone go to SIX E Street Band Shows since the start of the tour on October 2, 2007?

One fanatic has and I'm sure there are many more who have done the same.

A poster at BTX Promised Land just realizes the following about the song Devil's Arcade:

The song is a vague lament from a soldier's lover when her man is lying adrift between life and death, left to the mercy of the Devil's Arcade. It ends dramatically with the drumbeat of Max Weinberg. When it stops, the beat of the man's heart is gone too. The soldier's lover has lost her man finally to the military. (thanks to Jan Rodenrijs from the Dutch Roulette fanzine)

-----------------------------------------------

HUH???

Vague. I'll say.

Left to the mercy of the Devil's Arcade?

Huh?

For starters, why don't you tell us what exactly is the Devil's Arcade.

Or, maybe Springsteen himself could clue us in.

What on earth is the Devil's Arcade?

Anyone?

Hold onto your hats cause "Blinded by the Light" was on the handwritten setlist tonight but wasn't played.

THAT MEANS someone in the near future is going to get it.

WOW!!

What a miracle!

Who is the she in this song?

Some real classy posts over at BTX.

Springsteen is allowing the his/her duet of a Town Called Heartbreak (Scialfa's song from her CD) because he wants to get laid.

Or, how drunk should I get for the show thread and Pamela Springsteen answers that the poster remember to bring a cup to pee in.
