Oh, please.

All this discussion at BTX about the 1975 bomb scare when Springsteen was playing where ever he was playing.

They couldn't satge anything better than this?

Yeah, bomb scares when rock n' rollers are performing are just so common!

Supposedly, another one at a later date when Clarence was playing.

How 'bout these lines from a song that a poster tells everyone else they should heed:

Hate your mommies
Hate your daddies
but don't hate the ones
who bring you rock n' roll

NICE!!

Seems many of them are lying low for a while as they were instructed to do!

I guess when people are addicted to something they all gather at the same place.

Alcoholic's Anonymous, etc.

Obviously, the BTX forum and other Springsteen chat rooms serve as a gathering place for those dysfunctional fans who are addicted to him, but does not offer a remedy for their sickness.

It allows them to relate to each other's unhealthy obsession/infatuation so that, to some degree, they feel normal and not alone in their misery.

I mean, who else could even begin to comprehend their illness?

Seems infidelity is an accepted practice between Mr. and Mrs. Springsteen as depicted in this song, written by Springsteen for his wife, Patti Scialfa.

Man's Job
Bruce Springsteen

Well you can go out with him
Play with all of his toys
But takin' care of you darlin'
Ain't for one of the boys
Oh there's somethin' in your soul
That he's gonna rob
And lovin' you baby lovin' you darlin'
Lovin' you woman is a man's man's job
Lovin' you's a man's job baby
Lovin' you's a man's job
Lovin' you's a man's job baby
Lovin' you's a man's job

Well now his kisses may thrill
Those other girls that he likes
But when it comes to treatin'
A real woman right
Well of all of his tricks
No they won't be enough
'Cause lovin' you baby lovin' you woman
Lovin' you darlin' is a man's man's job
Lovin' you's a man's job baby
Lovin' you's a man's job
Lovin' you's a man's job baby
Lovin' you's a man's job

You're dancin' with him he's holding you tight
I'm standing here waitin' to catch your eye
Your hand's on his neck as the music sways
All my illusions slip away

Now if you're lookin' for a hero
Someone to save the day
Well darlin' my feet
They're made of clay
But I've got something in my soul
And I wanna give it up
But gettin' up the nerve
Gettin' up the nerve
Gettin' up the nerve is a man's man's job
Lovin' you's a man's job baby
Lovin' you's a man's job
Lovin' you's a man's job woman

---------------------------------------------

Interesting.

The man she's having an affair with is also engaged with other GIRLS.

Not women, but GIRLS!

Or, could be a BOY Scialfa's having an affair with. Springsteen says:

Takin' care of you ain't for one of the boys.

Scialfa also refers to a boy in a song on one of her THREE CD's. Can't remember which one.

Apparently, anything goes.

So, in the song, "Man's Job," what's Springsteen doing?

Stalking Scialfa while she's dancing with a boy or in their presence.

Here is another song written by Springsteen for his wife, Scialfa:

Tougher Than The Rest
Bruce Springsteen

Well It's Saturday night
you're all dressed up in blue
I been watching you awhile
maybe you been watching me too
So somebody ran out
left somebody's heart in a mess
Well if you're looking for love
honey I'm tougher than the rest

Some girls they want a handsome Dan
or some good-lookin' Joe on their arm
Some girls like a sweet-talkin' Romeo
Well 'round here baby
I learned you get what you can get
So if you're rough enough for love
honey I'm tougher than the rest

The road is dark
and it's a thin thin line
But I want you to know I'll walk it for you any time
Maybe your other boyfriends
couldn't pass the test
Well if you're rough and ready for love
honey I'm tougher than the rest

Well it ain't no secret
I've been around a time or two
Well I don't know baby maybe you've been around too
Well there's another dance
all you gotta do is say yes
And if you're rough and ready for love
honey I'm tougher than the rest
If you're rough enough for love
baby I'm tougher than the rest

-------------------------------------------

Is he stalking Scialfa in this song, too?

He says he's been watching her and that somebody ran out and left her heart a mess.

But, he's tougher than the rest.

How many are there?

Again, referring to GIRLS in this song.

He says Scialfa has other boyfriends.

Admits he's been around at time or two.

I think that would be an underestimate.
