Default The New Gold Rush

Greeting all, I'm new to the forums and wanted to start with a question circling my mind as I paid attention to the boob tube lately.

In my area (I'm not sure if it's a national movement), I continually see the barrages of commercials for gold buybacks. "Take you old and broken jewelry, blah blah, send in envelope, blah blah, we'll give you this paper for your gold".

The main reason given for the buybacks is for the increase in gold prices. But I have to wonder, is this just a ploy on a larger level to get the majority of gold out of the hands on the common person and into a more centralized ownership?

No.

It's so that they can CON you into buying GOLD because they've predicted the price will sky rocket.

When the price doesn't sky rocket and drops, you'll be left holding the GOLD and they'll be the profiteers.
