The Magic Question

I'm not starting a new thread about the Harry Potter question, but it does touch on the indoctrination into magic, sorcery, etc.

My question is what would the world power brokers do in this case. For many years, those who run the show have gained their power through wealth and influence; the latter only possible with the former. And that is their strength in controlling the world, from wars to financial crises.

But hypothetically, what if something came along that was more powerful than money? It does not have to be magic or sorcery, but maybe an enlightenment of the body and mind.

Would the world powers try to destroy it or control it?

If something more powerful than money came along, which is how the CONTROLLERS derive their power, THEY would either try to destroy it or own it.

Money doesn't exsist, we exchange value and they came along and gave value a face. Money is an illusion, true power is knowledge.
