I was recently talking to my Father who works for the CFIA "Canadian Food Inspection Agency" and he told me the chinese exported millions of pounds of contaminated animal feed to Canada. He has had to quarantine 3 feed mills with this contaminated material. The people who are going to be affected by this are the cattle and pig farmers of alberta, They have to pay the price since they already purchased the feed they have to dystroy all of it and buy new feed, as if the farmers have not suffered enough. Frankly i'm getting sick and tired of all this bullshit the Chinese continue to send us.

I believe we should boycott all animal feed products from China!

Outsourcing to China by Mattel produces deadly lead-based toys and baby bibs in America!

Who is poisoning us?

The United States, China or both?

Unless you know they're posionous, you don't stop buying them.

When outsourcing is what the corporate conglomerates do, it's not like you have a choice.

Fascist America, RedRat.

I just seen on the news right now that lots of American made toy makers are now reaping the harvest of sheeple that have stopped buying crap from China, it said there are 80 American companies that make toys in America still. compared to over 10,000 in China, (of which all used to be American Companies.)

Mattel outsources to China and China exports to the USA and in the process poisons us.

Mattel and CHINA reap the benefits twofold.

Mattel saves on cost and China profits on exports.

The toys are made in China for US companies.

Most people don't look at the "made in" sticker. They could care less.

It's more about cost.

Toy garden tools, trains latest 'made in China' recalls 1 hour, 32 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US retailing giant Target Corp. announced a voluntary recall of Chinese-made toy gardening tools and children's lawn furniture containing "excessive levels of lead," the company said in a statement Wednesday.

The recall affects some 350,000 toys bearing the "Happy Giddy Gardening Tools" and "Sunny Patch Children's Chairs" logos, the Minneapolis, Minnesota-based retailer said, in the latest of a spate of recalls that have sullied the "Made-in-China" brand in the United States.

Meanwhile, the RC2 Corporation on Wednesday announced that it too would voluntarily recall five "Thomas and Friends" wooden toy train items made in China, due to lead paint levels that exceed US Consumer Product Safety Commission standards.

The new recalls, RC2 said, affect up to 200,000 toy units distributed domestically and some 69,000 units sold outside the United States.

Those recalls follow a forced recall in June of 1.5 million "Thomas and Friends" wooden toy trains because the items were finished with lead paint.

The US banned the use of lead paint on toys in 1978 on health grounds and earlier this month US lawmakers questioned industry executives over what was being done to stop dangerous Chinese-made toys being imported.

The US toy industry is vying to ward off a mounting political storm and increasing public fear about the safety of Chinese-made products following a series of mass recalls in recent months.

China produces most of the world's toys and operates around 20,000 toy-making plants, according to some estimates.

Concern over Chinese toy exports -- some with lead paint, some with other safety defects -- have led to the recalls now numbering in millions of items and affect some of America's more popular brands, including Barbie dolls, and some of its marquee companies and retailers like Mattel, Fisher Price, and Toys "R" US.

At a US congressional hearing earlier this month, one lawmaker went as far as to say that the "made in China" label had now to become a warning label that consumers would try to steer clear of.

Concerns also are on the rise overseas. The European Commission earlier this month said it may ban some Chinese-made goods unless Beijing demonstrates it is effectively dealing with potentially dangerous products.

Again Congress relegated it's duties to "Internationalist,Free-Traders,Crooks, Thieves, Lobbyists, etc...) 5 years ago the import labeling act was passed (that's probably not the right nanme) and with that legislation, every FOOD PRODUCT being imported into the U.S. was required to have import nation origination labeling, NOT ONE DAMM enforcement of that law is evident anywhere.

Curious George dolls linked to lead
Thu Nov 8, 2007
5:37 PM ET

WASHINGTON - About 175,000 Curious George Plush Dolls were recalled Thursday, becoming the latest popular toy made in China found to be contaminated with dangerous levels of lead.

Manufactured by Marvel Toys, of New York, N.Y., the Curious George dolls contain excessive levels of lead in their surface paint, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Although no reports of illnesses connected to this product have been reported, lead is toxic if ingested by young children. Children's products found to have more than 0.06 percent lead accessible to users are subject to a recall.

The recalled dolls have a plastic face and are sold in five different models, including "birthday," "fireman," "sweet dreams," "tool time" and "tool time with a soft face." They were sold with Curious George story or activity books at toy and discount department stores nationwide from December 2005 through August 2007.

Consumers can contact Marvel Toys at 800-352-2064 or visit http://www.regcen.com/curiousgeorge for more information and to receive a full refund.

About 51,000 Children's Fashion Sunglasses, imported and distributed by Dolgencorp Inc. of Goodlettsville, Tenn., were also recalled Thursday because of dangerous levels of lead. No injuries have been reported.

The recalled sunglasses, made in China, are yellow colored with the UPC No. 400007860896. They were sold at Dollar General stores nationwide from March 2005 through October 2007. Consumers can return the sunglasses to any Dollar General store for a full refund. For more information, call 800-678-9258 or visit http://www.dollargeneral.com.
